Thrive is Melt Arts CIC’s vocational training pathway for performers aged 16+.

Offering both full-time and part-time training in Dance and Musical Theatre, Thrive provides industry-led learning designed to develop confident, creative and career-ready performers.

Whether learners are progressing to higher education, professional training or employment, Thrive bridges the gap between Community and Industry, empowering the next generation of creative talent.

STUDY OPTIONS

Full-Time Programme
(Ages 16–19)

Our Level 3 -fully funded two-year study programme is designed for learners wishing to pursue intensive vocational training in either Dance or Musical Theatre.

Training may include:

part-time programme
(ages 18+)

Designed for those unable to commit to full-time study, these intensive 10x week programmes will provide industry-focused training in Dance and Musical Theatre.

Dance Pathway

The Dance pathway provides intensive vocational training across a range of styles including Jazz, Contemporary, Commercial and Ballet, preparing students for progression into higher education and the professional industry.

Musical Theatre Pathway

The Musical Theatre pathway offers professional training in acting, singing and dance, developing versatile performers ready for further training, drama school or employment.

Full-Time Programme (Ages 16–19)

Applicants should:

  • Be aged 16–19.
  • Demonstrate passion and commitment to the performing arts.
  • Successfully complete an audition and interview process.
  • Hold, or be working towards, GCSE qualifications including English and Maths.
  • Be willing to work collaboratively and professionally

Part-Time Programme (Ages 16+)

Applicants should:

  • Be aged 18+.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for Dance or Musical Theatre.
  • Be willing to work collaboratively within a creative environment.
  • Commit fully to the duration of the programme.

Previous training is welcomed but not essential. Places may be offered following an application, workshop or informal audition process.

 2026–2027 Audition Dates

Applications are now open for our Full-time 2-year programme, September 2027 entry.
